This degree examines those challenges, which include overcoming individual biases, misunderstood communication and cross-border mergers.

You will be asked to propose solutions to such problems, using the theoretical concepts covered by the programme. This degree will transform you into a culturally sensitive individual, with the ability to encourage cultural awareness, while working anywhere in the world.

This programme has been designed by London School of Business & Finance (LSBF) and is validated and awarded by the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO.

Requisitos

• UK undergraduate degree or equivalent – any subject area
• English levels 5.5 IELTS (5.5 in all bands) or equivalent
• Relevant work experience is an asset, but no work experience is required
• Students who fail to meet academic requirements can be assessed on their relevant work experience (2 years management experience minimum for mature study route)

HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
Learn to assess the applicability of human resource management (HRM) operations and strategies across varying cultures, and to investigate the factors that determine this applicability.

On successful completion of the module, you will be able to:
• Explore how an increasingly global labour economy impacts on the HRM practices, cultures, structures and management of multinational companies.
• Chart the effects of a globalised labour market on the transfer and diffusion of HRM practices in multinational companies.
• Analyse the implications of cross-border mergers and acquisitions on management development activities.
• Appraise the policies and practices used to recruit international managers – including issues of pay and reward.
• Examine HRM practices that are effective in managing migration and outsourcing of personnel requirements.

CROSS-CULTURAL MANAGEMENT
Understand the impact of a multicultural workforce on management. This degree will teach you to identify the areas where cultural differences can cause issues and to become aware of cultural conditioning.

On successful completion of the module, you will be able to:
• Discuss the concept of culture and approaches to the study of culture, explaining its usefulness and relevance to a range of issues within business.
• Provide a critical account of the main theoretical approaches to cross-cultural management.
• Use these theories to propose solutions to organisational and management problems caused by increasing cultural diversity.
