Presentación

The study of international development has never been more important or interesting, with transformations in the global economy currently taking place alongside political and social upheavals provoking intense debate about the nature of poverty, inequality, development and aid at local, national and international levels. Studying international development helps you understand the different visions of what ‘development’ can mean and the many challenges to reducing poverty and inequality.
Anthropology encompasses all aspects of humanity and helps us towards a better understanding of the contemporary world. It teaches you to think critically about human social behaviour and examines the similarities and differences between cultures and societies across the world. Anthropologists gain an unparalleled awareness for multicultural society, and skills for a wide range of careers where understanding different perspectives and engaging with other people are central.
