Property is a dynamic profession which offers variety, travel and networking opportunities and a high earning potential. This course combines business with a thorough understanding of the law, management, valuation and appraisal of property. The first year of the course is common to all of the University of Westminster’s property courses, while in the second and third year you will study more modules run by Westminster Business School. Most of the lecturers on the property courses are chartered surveyors with experience of surveying at a senior level, and many still practice part-time.
As property is not taught at school, students have a wide variety of A Levels and equivalent qualifications. The most important requirements are an analytical mind and a clear motivation towards the course. Our graduates go on to work with businesses, property companies, real estate advisors, developers, central and local government, retailers, large corporations and landowners and occupiers both in the UK and internationally.
