Our Business Studies course (with pathways) is unique in giving you the flexibility to keep your specialisation options open until your second year of study. This offers you the best of both worlds: broad-based first and second years and a specialised final year
The course includes a 40-week paid placement, working at some of the world’s most innovative and influential businesses, including Xerox, Barclays, British Airways, Hewlett-Packard, Vauxhall Motors, IBM, Wella and Nokia to name a few, which gives your career a head start
Our students perform extremely well during their placements; employers are always impressed with their abilities and many of our students return to their placement company upon graduation
BA (Hons) Business Studies is our longest running course. Having an ability to manage, at a strategic level, the key elements in marketing, together with the ability to think critically about marketing scenarios and use market and other information to make informed decisions is the key aspect of this course.

Requisitos

320-340 tariff points, with 200-220 from two A-levels (e.g. B,B or A,B) or equivalent, with remaining 120 points from other A/AS levels, equivalent qualifications or Key Skills. BTEC Extended Diploma: DDM

Objetivos

The course aims to develop your understanding and skills in marketing functions, principles and practice, enabling you to develop marketing approaches for a range of marketing scenarios across different industry structures.

You will also examine concepts, principles and activities of international marketing, through a critical review of the theoretical frameworks both for the analysis of international marketing environments and for the development of international marketing courses.

Programa

Year 1
You will ´hit the ground running´ from year one onwards, when you will begin to develop the versatility and personal qualities needed to manage a range of business activities in a global context, as well as an awareness of the wider impact of business decisions on organisational stakeholders and society. In addition, through tasks including simulated business projects, you will develop highly sought after skills including communication, presentation, team work and time management.
