This four year degree offers you the opportunity to take an industrial placement in year 3. Completion of a Year in Industry programme will ensure you graduate with relevant work experience, putting you one step ahead of other students.

Chemistry helps shape the world around us, from the materials we use to the medicines we take. Understanding how chemicals interact at a molecular level is both fascinating and of critical importance to the well-being of an individual and the economy as a whole. This is the chemistry degree to choose if you intend to be a professional chemist.

Our Chemistry MChem is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry, demonstrating the high quality of our course. This four-year degree programme is a aimed at giving you a broad understanding of chemistry at an advanced level, with the opportunity to explore in depth specialised areas through optional modules.

Requisitos

A Level: AAB including Chemistry and one other science or Mathematics. Alternatively, ABBB including Chemistry and one other Science or Mathematics (must include an A grade in science or Mathematics)
International Baccalaureate: 33 points to include HL Chemistry at 6 and one other HL Science or Maths at 6
Scottish Highers: AAABB including Higher Level Chemistry and one other science
Scottish Advanced Highers: AAB including Advanced Higher Level Chemistry and one other science
Irish Leaving Certificate: AAAABB including Chemistry at Higher Level and one other science
Access Course: Pass Access to HE Diploma with Distinction in 45 credits at Level 3, to include 12 credits of Chemistry and 12 credits of a second science
BTEC: DDD with a minimum of 6 Chemistry or 6 Maths units
European Baccalaureate: Overall 80% to include Chemistry and one other science

We offer excellent academic and student support services, and in the latest set of employment figures, 88% of our undergraduates, who were available for work, found work or study within six months of leaving.

Our MChem and BSc courses in Chemistry are accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) as satisfying the academic requirements for Chartered Chemists (CChem) for graduates with first or second class honours degrees. Furthermore, all of our Chemical Physics degrees are recognised by the Institute of Physics.
