    The Computing for Business degree enables you to acquire a thorough understanding of systems development and modern business operations. You will develop your computing expertise, alongside the knowledge and experience needed to apply them effectively within a business context. This will ensure that you have a greater degree of involvement throughout the development of any programming in a professional capacity.

    The degree programme is made up of modules supplied by the School of Computing Sciences and the Norwich Business School; both of which have close contacts with industry through research funding, knowledge transfer programmes, external advisory panels and consultancy. These links with business help enhance your learning, as real world problems and real data are used in practical learning projects and coursework, which make up a significant proportion of the assessment.

    This course enables you to communicate with users at all levels of an organisation to maximise your success within a business.

    International Baccalaureate: 32 points including one HL subject from preferred choice at 5 and one other HL subject at 5
    Scottish Highers: AABBB
    Scottish Advanced Highers: ABB
    Irish Leaving Certificate: AABBBB
    Access Course: Pass the Access to HE Diploma with Distinction in 36 credits at Level 3 and Merit in 9 Level 3 credits, including 12 Level 3 credits in either Mathematics, Science Business or Economics related subjects
    BTEC: DDM - minimum of 6 units in a science subject. BTEC IT Practitioners acceptable
    European Baccalaureate: 75% overall

    The School of Computing Sciences leads the university in utilizing its internationally recognized research commercially through SYS Consulting, its consulting company, and through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships. Many of the projects and coursework that you will take part in use data or scenarios that come from real industry and business applications, giving you effective practical experience that can be applied in a working environment.

    Depending on which specialties you studied during your degree course, you will have the necessary skills to work in many application areas of computing science, from computer games development to computer systems engineering, and many more. Our students also use their technical and entrepreneurial skills to play influential roles in the creation of companies such as Travel Republic, Evoke systems, Fyfo and Shoretech systems.
