Would you like to work within one of the most creative and successful industries in the UK? Our graduates have worked for the BBC and independent film, TV and radio companies across the world. Increasingly, our award-winning graduates also set up their own production companies.

The course has a practical emphasis that provides professional-level training, underpinned by academic content. It was developed in conjunction with the industry, to ensure graduates have the right skills and creative ability to enter the workplace.

Film has been taught at the University for nearly 50 years. Our expertise in film-making and the reputation of our alumni is acknowledged internationally across the industry. We are full members of CILECT, the international association of film and television schools, which represents the gold standard in the industry.

Requisitos

Titulo de Bachillerato or the Selectividad with an average mark of 6.
Curso de Orientación Universitaria (COU) with an average mark of 6.
Técnico Especialista (Formación Profesional – segundo grado).
Ingeniero Técnico (from Escuela de Ingeniero Técnico).
Diplomado / Diplomatura.
English language qualifications:

GCSE pass in English at Grade C or above
IELTS with an average overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each component
TOEFL IBT minimum score for Undergraduate of 80 IBT
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): exams taken from January 2015 – overall score of 169 with at least 162 in each component ; exams taken before January 2015 – Grade C and no less than borderline in each skill
Trinity College English Language qualifications: ISE II Distinction or ISE III Pass for undergraduate courses
City and Guild’s IESOL/ISESOL tests, in some cases, we may also be able to accept the communicator level (B2)
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a minimum of 51 points in each element for the majority of undergraduate programmes
Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements, we run a number of courses to prepare you for academic studies.

Learning and teaching methods
You’ll be taught through a blend of workshops, seminars and lectures, as well as guest lectures from industry professionals. Since we’re accredited by Skillset this will also offer other opportunities for learning, including access to masterclasses and workshops.

Our graduates go on to do a whole variety of jobs within the film industry including working for BBC Wales, Channel 4, MTV, Red Dragon Radio and many other companies all over the world. Due to our international reputation for film, graduates of Film are highly regarded within the industry.
