Are you intrigued by the relationship between the molecular, anatomical, physiological and anthropological? This fascinating course incorporates a foundation year. It provides intensive, well-structured support, which enables you to develop your scientific skills and knowledge, before progressing to higher level studies.

You’ll develop your knowledge of human biology, with a focus on the medical aspects of human processes, such as how we respond to infection and the effects of drugs on the human body

Requisitos

Titulo de Bachillerato or the Selectividad with an average mark of 6.
Curso de Orientación Universitaria (COU) with an average mark of 6.
Técnico Especialista (Formación Profesional – segundo grado).
Ingeniero Técnico (from Escuela de Ingeniero Técnico).
Diplomado / Diplomatura.
English language qualifications:

GCSE pass in English at Grade C or above
IELTS with an average overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each component
TOEFL IBT minimum score for Undergraduate of 80 IBT
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): exams taken from January 2015 – overall score of 169 with at least 162 in each component ; exams taken before January 2015 – Grade C and no less than borderline in each skill
Trinity College English Language qualifications: ISE II Distinction or ISE III Pass for undergraduate courses
City and Guild’s IESOL/ISESOL tests, in some cases, we may also be able to accept the communicator level (B2)
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a minimum of 51 points in each element for the majority of undergraduate programmes

The second year of this human biology degree will introduce you to genetics, microbiology, nutrition and physiology, as well as biological chemistry, the musculoskeletal system, experimental design and data manipulation.

You will develop your knowledge in the third year, exploring areas such as vertebrate zoology, animal behaviour and sociobiology, medical microbiology, human genetics, endocrinology, metabolism and the renal system, and nutrition and the alimentary canal.

The final year is your chance to gain specialist knowledge of biological anthropology, tropical medicine, clinical biochemistry and pharmacology, clinical and molecular immunology, and research in an area of your choice.

Learning and teaching methods
You will learn through lectures, tutorials and practical classes spending between 15 and 20 hours per week in classes. You will also spend the same amount of time doing background reading and working on assignments.
