Presentación

Develop the skills you need as a project leader, producer, experience designer and storyteller in immersive media across VR, AR, XR and blended reality.

Requisitos

104 - 120 UCAS tariff points including a minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent. BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM. A portfolio is also required in support of your application.

International entry requirements:
If English is not your first language you´ll need IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each component or equivalent.

Objetivos

Through conceptual investigation and practical production, explore and develop immersive media in a range of hypothetical and real-world scenarios.
Explore both conventional as well as experimental and emerging forms and contexts
Collaborate and undertake enterprise-led teamwork, essential in becoming thought, practice and business leaders in this emerging field
Develop production craft skills including stereoscopic 360-degree video and immersive audio production
Work in industry-leading facilities with internationally recognised lecturers and practitioners
Specialise or broaden your studies through option units to match your career ambitions and professional placement opportunities, allowing you to forge vital industry links.

This programme is aimed at developing future project leaders, producers, storytellers and experience designers in virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed and blended reality media. Immersive media are created for entertainment, healthcare and wellbeing, design and engineering, education and training, and remote collaboration in and beyond media production. It is a rapidly expanding and evolving field that calls for producers, production managers, directors, cinematographers, sound specialists, post-production specialists and generalists who can work across these roles and collaborate with technical specialists.
