The BA International Relations and European Politics degree programme enables you to engage in in-depth study of international relations with a focus on European politics.
You will be introduced to the basic aspects of political analysis, developing your knowledge through the study of legislatures and executives, constitutions, political parties and voting behaviour. A significant portion of the degree programme also allows you to explore how the European Union operates, and how it relates to the rest of the world. You will also engage in comparative analysis, examining the political experiences of various European countries, such the relationship between Central and Eastern Europe and Russia.
Alongside your European-based studies which are taught through compulsory modules, you will also have the opportunity to shape your own learning by choosing optional modules. You could use this opportunity to study a modern language, further European politics modules, economics, history, media, security or the European convention on human rights.
