Salidas profesionales

The course prepares individuals for work within the maternity support setting and contains a strong focus on self-development, self-awareness, transferable skills and employment specific knowledge and skills. Those completing the course should be able to either set up work as a self-employed Doula, find work within a maternity support role, or move into other roles within health and social care.

The course also offers those in employment a career progression pathway within Higher Education by enabling successful students to access the College’s existing work-based learning programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Those wishing to undertake further studies within health care or maternity care (such as nursing or midwifery) would find this a useful introduction which should enhance their career decision making process and future applications.
