Presentación

Mathematics has proven incredibly useful in just about every field of human endeavour. It is used in science and exploration, in business and government, in industry and forecasting, and many more. Our expert academics are enthusiastic and knowledgeable, guiding students through this rapidly progressing subject. All of our lecturers are active researchers conducting world-leading work, which is incorporated into their teaching.

The BSc Mathematics, our most popular mathematics programme, allows you to develop your interests in mathematics and statistics. There is flexibility to combine modules from pure and applied mathematics and statistics with modules such as the history of mathematics or the theory of teaching mathematics. It is also possible for you to transfer from this programme to the four-year integrated Master´s in Mathematics, subject to strong academic performance.

Requisitos

A Level: AAB/(ABBC) including A in A2 Mathematics (ABB incl A level Further Mathematics)
International Baccalaureate: 33 points including HL Mathematics at 6 and one other HL subject at 6
Scottish Highers: AAAB including grade A in Advanced Higher Mathematics
Scottish Advanced Highers: AAB including grade A in Mathematics
Irish Leaving Certificate: AAAABB including grade A in Mathematics
Access Course: Pass Access to HE Diploma with Distinction in 45 credits at Level 3, including 12 Level 3 Mathematics credits.
BTEC: DDD with a minimum of 6 Maths unit
European Baccalaureate: 80% overall including 80% in Mathematics

The extra skills acquired from the fourth year of the Masters course, namely planning and executing a major project, are particularly attractive to employers. Our students receive exceptional support in planning their career including regular visits from recent alumni to describe their career progression since graduation. As a consequence, 86% of our graduates, who were available for work, found work or further study within six months of leaving UEA, with an average starting salary of £21,000.
