Presentación

Learn how to plan, deliver and maintain well-designed spaces in town, cities and the countryside. You gain a broad understanding of planning in theory and practice and specialise in regeneration, environmental planning or design. Field trips in the UK and overseas and real world projects develop your skills and knowledge ready for the workplace.

Requisitos

GCSE mathematics and English language at grade C or above. We may accept GCSE equivalents. Plus one of the following
• 280 points including at least 160 points from two GCE/VCE A levels, or BTEC National qualifications, or one AVCE double award. We accept AS levels and general studies and consider Key Skills.
• Access – at least 45 credits at level 3 from a relevant Open College Network accredited course
If English Is not your first language you need an IELTS average score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in all skills.
We consider other qualifications from the UCAS tariff. Applicants with alternative qualifications or a combination of qualifications and work experience are also considered. We welcome applications from people of any age. Please contact us for further advice.

It is possible to study abroad in the second year as an alternative to your options.

Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Planning
If you chose do the Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Planning to gain an RTPI accredited award, you study the following year four modules.

Year four options

Salidas profesionales

As a graduate, you can pursue careers in planning, design and development, as well as fields such as environmental enhancement, transport, economic development and urban regeneration. Your skills and knowledge are also ideally suited to careers associated with geography, such as teaching, retail and travel, logistics and GIS systems.
There are opportunities for you to work in the UK, mainland Europe and even further afield.
