Presentación

This course will allow you to develop the managerial and technical skills necessary for an exciting and rewarding career in the culinary industry.
You will develop culinary management expertise within four core areas:
managerial skills and development
professional and academic development
technical skills development
specific skills to underpin knowledge and understanding
At every level of the course you will have the opportunity to train and work within a real world working environment operated by the University of Derby, Buxton, which will include the Dome fine dining restaurant and café. This will comprise many of the events delivered by the operations team, which range from wedding parties to large banquets for over 800 guests, including the Chatsworth House staff dinner party. These real world experiences provide you with the setting to put theory into practice within our commercial operations and in industry placements too.

Requisitos

UCAS Points 260 (up to 40 from level 3 qualifications)

The UCAS point requirements above will be made up primarily from your core A2s (full A Levels) or equivalent qualifications such as BTEC Diploma, International Baccalaureate, Scottish Highers etc.
We will accept a certain value of points (detailed above) from level 3 qualifications such as AS Levels (where those AS Levels are not taken on to A2 Level), the Extended project, or Music qualifications.
We don´t accept points from Key Skills Level 3. If you have any questions about what is or isn´t accepted, please contact our Admissions team.
We also accept the Access to HE Diploma.
Your points at level 3 will be in addition to 5 GCSEs at grade C or equivalent level 2 qualifications.
The UCAS tariff points are a guide - we´ll also consider all the information that you´ve included in your application. We´ll also want to see that you´re enthusiastic and motivated to take this course and that you have the potential to benefit from coming to university.
