Presentación

In an increasingly global economy, the skills of vision, creativity and cultural sensitivity that are developed through religious studies are at a premium.

You’ll explore a variety of religions and diverse subject matter, while the strong contemporary aspects make this course relevant to here and now. You’ll look at different people and cultures, their views and beliefs, and the world and our place in it.

Visiting places of worship and meeting the practitioners of other faiths and traditions provides a real insight into the worlds of others. You’ll have the opportunity to experience a series of field trips, for example, to India and Nepal (additional costs apply).

Year Two

In year two, you’ll explore the origins of major faiths. A module on Jainism, which isn’t offered by many universities, supplements work on other Indian religions. A module on Religion, Culture and Film examines religion in its broadest sense, while Digital Religion emphasises the constantly changing nature of religion.
