The BSc Software Engineering is a specialist degree programme, designed to teach you the key concepts and technologies that will allow you to pursue a successful career in software engineering and system development.
The course teaches skills that are directly applicable to contemporary software development issues, including object-oriented design, software development processes, and advanced programming concepts. Material taught in lectures is reinforced by practical laboratory classes and workshops, so you are able to study the theory and later apply it in order to develop your practical skills. You will be encouraged to learn through practical problem-solving, and a significant proportion of assessment is carried out through various software development projects, in both group-work and independent study.
Our academic faculty has considerable experience in the design and implementation of software development projects, and we specialise in the areas of web-design, databases, computer networks and information retrieval.
