Are you passionate about pursuing your career in the sports coaching industry? The Sports Coaching and Performance degree provides the opportunity for students that have completed a Foundation Degree, preferably in Sports Coaching, to progress onto the final year of a BSc Sports Coaching & Performance degree
A distinct part of the sports coaching course is the opportunity to gain invaluable coaching experience. You’ll cover key theoretical issues that support the coaching process, including talent identification, athlete development and player development models. You’ll also explore how sport science principles relate strength and conditioning, fitness testing and physiology to coaching and performance.
Your teaching and practical exercises will take place at USW Sport Park, our £3.7m state-of-the-art coaching and performance development centre, which is regularly used for training by public and professional sport teams.
