Presentación

The inclusive approach offered in this drama degree will enable you to sample and develop a broad range of performance and production skills. You will be introduced to live performance and theatre, and drama as a vital form of film, television and radio.

You will explore major ideas and developments that have influenced drama, theatre and performance. This will strengthen your work in practice-based modules, where you can study performing, devising, directing, scriptwriting, design and technical theatre.

Requisitos

Titulo de Bachillerato or the Selectividad with an average mark of 6.
Curso de Orientación Universitaria (COU) with an average mark of 6.
Técnico Especialista (Formación Profesional – segundo grado).
Ingeniero Técnico (from Escuela de Ingeniero Técnico).
Diplomado / Diplomatura.
English language qualifications:

GCSE pass in English at Grade C or above
IELTS with an average overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each component
TOEFL IBT minimum score for Undergraduate of 80 IBT
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): exams taken from January 2015 – overall score of 169 with at least 162 in each component ; exams taken before January 2015 – Grade C and no less than borderline in each skill
Trinity College English Language qualifications: ISE II Distinction or ISE III Pass for undergraduate courses
City and Guild’s IESOL/ISESOL tests, in some cases, we may also be able to accept the communicator level (B2)
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a minimum of 51 points in each element for the majority of undergraduate programmes
Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements, we run a number of courses to prepare you for academic studies

Modules include

Theatre Practice: Devising-Collaborating-Performing
Introduction to Drama, Performance and Media
Text and Performance Analysis: Methods and Vocabularies
Performance, Technology and Stagecraft
In addition to the modules listed above, you will also study ‘Enhancing Academic Success’ which aims to develop and support academic skills and facilitate an effective transition to Higher Education. Areas covered include academic writing, observational skills, critical thinking and analysis.

Learning and teaching methods
We use a range of teaching methods, including lectures, seminars, workshops, intensive
rehearsals, masterclasses with visiting practitioners, web-based forums, work placement projects, and hands-on training with technical equipment.

Theatre and drama graduates follow a wide range of careers. Many are employed in the media entertainment industries, others choose to start up their own production companies, while some enter the teaching profession.
