Presentación

As the electronics industry continues to grow worldwide, the demand for knowledge and skills within electronic engineering is high. This course has been designed in consultation with industry professionals, which means you will gain relevant skills and knowledge that meet industry standards.

By the time you graduate, you will be ready to work within the development of modern electrical and electronic systems: designing, building and marketing the next generation of products or being able to identify with the various stages required to mass produce and test an electronic product. As a graduate in electrical and electronic engineering the skills you acquired throughout the course are transferable to many industry sectors.

You will study in our engineering laboratories in a new, purpose-built facility. These include two electronics laboratories, a communication laboratory, a computer-aided design suite and a mechatronics, machines and control engineering laboratory, renewable energy and Renesas sponsored laboratory.

Requisitos

Titulo de Bachillerato or the Selectividad with an average mark of 6.
Curso de Orientación Universitaria (COU) with an average mark of 6.
Técnico Especialista (Formación Profesional – segundo grado).
Ingeniero Técnico (from Escuela de Ingeniero Técnico).
Diplomado / Diplomatura.
English language qualifications:

GCSE pass in English at Grade C or above
IELTS with an average overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each component
TOEFL IBT minimum score for Undergraduate of 80 IBT
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): exams taken from January 2015 – overall score of 169 with at least 162 in each component ; exams taken before January 2015 – Grade C and no less than borderline in each skill
Trinity College English Language qualifications: ISE II Distinction or ISE III Pass for undergraduate courses
City and Guild’s IESOL/ISESOL tests, in some cases, we may also be able to accept the communicator level (B2)
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a minimum of 51 points in each element for the majority of undergraduate programmes

The course is delivered through a range of lectures, tutorials and practical workshops. You will be required to attend the university one day a week.

Salidas profesionales

Our graduates pursue careers in electronics, computing, electrical engineering, communications or control systems and embedded systems. Graduates have gained employment with a range of local and national companies, including General Dynamics, Jaguar Landrover, Amey Railways, General Electric Aircraft Engine Services, Quantum CAD, Panasonic, Aviza Technology, Allevard Springs and government agencies.
