Centennial College’s Environmental Technician offering has been designed to prepare you for work in the constantly changing field of environmental technology.
Through this School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science program, you will obtain practical training in the three foundation disciplines of biology, chemistry and civil engineering, which will allow you to understand and manage environmental problems.
You will also gain a unique combination of technical skills that will greatly increase your career options. This will be achieved through the use of tools and equipment used in microbiology, ecological field sampling, analytical chemistry and surveying, as well as laboratory activities in water quality testing and groundwater movement.
During your time in the Environmental Technician program, you can also participate in local conservation and restoration activities.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older)
English Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent (minimum grade required)
