The Environmental Technology program holds respected national accreditations and aims to prepare you for the constantly changing field of environmental technology.
The inclusion of the foundational disciplines of biology, chemistry and civil engineering means that you will not only understand but also be able to manage complex environmental problems.
Additionally, you will learn to function effectively with the tools and equipment used in:
Ecological field sampling;
Hazardous material management;
Surveying and municipal engineering;
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping.
Laboratory practice will include water quality testing, groundwater movement, computer aided environmental audits and the chemistry of pollutants.
After the fourth semester of the Environmental Technology program, you will have met the requirements for the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) Entry-Level Courses for Drinking Water Operators and be qualified to write the Ontario Ministry of the Environment (MOE) Operator-in-Training and Water Quality An
