BA (Hons) in Sports Management - Gestión Deportiva

The BA (Hons) in Sports Management provides students with a broad overview of the sports industry. It combines core business subjects with specialized courses in sports marketing, management, and event planning, equipping graduates for a professional career in the global sports sector.

1 certified copy of high school diploma and transcripts; Proof of English level: TOEFL score 80 (internet-based), 213 (computer-based); IELTS 6.0; CAE C; PTE 57; English native or equivalent. 2 letters of recommendation; 1 written or video essay. The main goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the business side of sports. Objectives include: developing management and leadership capabilities specifically for the sports industry; gaining insights into the socio-cultural impact of sports; mastering financial and marketing strategies for sports entities; and fostering critical thinking in professional sports contexts.

The curriculum includes: Business Management, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Sports Marketing & Sponsorship, Sports Media & Journalism, Sports Law, Human Resource Management in Sport, Sports Events Management, Digital Marketing in Sport, and Strategic Management. The program is structured over six semesters or three years.

Graduates can pursue careers as: sports agent, sports marketing professional, tournament/event manager, facility manager, sports retail executive, community relations manager, or brand representative for international sports brands.

Students develop skills in identifying and analyzing trends within the global sports industry. They acquire competencies in strategic planning for sports organizations, marketing and brand management specifically for athletic brands, financial management of sports teams and facilities, and interpersonal communication and leadership. Additional skills include event organization, ethical decision-making in professional sports, and the ability to operate in diverse, international business environments.
