The Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology – Automation and Robotics program will prepare you to play a key role in the world of technology. Automation is used in virtually every industry today and the demand for trained graduates is high.

Through in-depth training, you will learn about hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics, electronics, robotics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Special attention will be given to embedded systems using microcontrollers, quality control using vision inspection, and SPC and continuous feedback control using PID.

This School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science training will take you through the full-range of automation theory and mechanics — from basic circuitry through to its application in a manufacturing system. You will also learn integration of automated equipment through its design, fabrication and installation.

Aside from theory, you will train in laboratories in which you will enjoy hands-on learning that will complement all Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology – Automation and Robotics topics.

Requisitos

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older)
English Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent (minimum grade required) or
Mathematics Grade 11 M or U, or 12 C or U, or equivalent (minimum grade required)
