After just two semesters in the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culture’s Baking – Commercial Bakeries program, you will be prepared for entry-level positions with retail bakeries, supermarkets, department stores, hotels, camps and other related businesses.
The offering has been specially designed to meet industry demands for professionals skilled in producing baked goods. As such, you will learn to create commercial quantities of breads, rolls, sweet dough, savoury and sweet pastries, Danish and puff pastries, cookies, cakes, and desserts.
Additionally, the Centennial College program will foster the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to carry out your duties in a safe, ethical and professional manner.
English Grade 12 C or U, or equivalent (minimum grade required)
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older)
