The Architectural Technician program will prepare you for a career in the construction industry, where you will work with architects, engineers, builders, contractors and municipal building departments.
Following a project-based curriculum, you will use state-of-the-art computer technology to design and draw residential, industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings. These drawings are used to communicate with clients, construction professionals and approval authorities.
In the process, you will be introduced to building materials, construction methods, structural design, mechanical and electrical services, building codes, contracts, specifications and the business environment for providing design and construction services.
The Architectural Technician program places a strong emphasis on protecting the environment, energy conservation, and sustainable design and construction strategies.
